Career Pathways in the Lawrence Public Schools are programs of academic and technical study that integrate classroom and real-world learning organized around multiple career pathways. Designed around high skill, high wage and high demand jobs, each career pathway includes a work-based learning component and prepares students for both a post-secondary education and a career. The USD 497 career pathways expect improved academic achievement through a college-preparatory curriculum with exceptional career and technical education that motivates students to learn by helping them answer the question, “Why do I need to know this”?
